What is this yellow beauty? Showy Evening Primrose. 💛
It is the first to emerge after a long nap from the previous spring. They are a low growing flower that brings a delightful brightness to the barren landscape of what is now the Llano Estacado.
They showcase their blooms in the early morning and close up by the afternoon. No matter how dry we get, patches of them will emerge along fields and roads.
Resiliency should be its middle name. 💛
